Prof. Ljiljana Trajkovic, IEEE Fellow, Simon Fraser University Ljiljana Trajkovic received the Dipl. Ing. degree from University of Pristina, Yugoslavia, the M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of California at Los Angeles. She is currently a professor in the School of Engineering Science, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests include communication networks and dynamical systems. She served as IEEE Division X Delegate/Director, President of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and President of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. Dr. Trajkovic serves as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems and Associate Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Open Journal of Systems Engineering. She served as a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Circuits and System Society and a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. She is a Fellow of the IEEE. |
Prof. Witold Pedrycz, IEEE Fellow, Educational Credential Evaluatos (ECE) Witold Pedrycz (IEEE Life Fellow) is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He is also affiliated with the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. Dr. Pedrycz is a foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He is a recipient of several awards including the Norbert Wiener Award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, the IEEE Canada Computer Engineering Medal, a Cajastur Prize for Soft Computing from the European Centre for Soft Computing, a Killam Prize, a Fuzzy Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, and the 2019 Meritorious Service Award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. His main research directions involve computational intelligence, granular computing, and machine learning. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences, the Editor-in-Chief of WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and the Co-editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Granular Computing (Springer) and Journal of Data, Information and Management (Springer). |
Prof. Chuan Qin, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology Chuan Qin received his Ph.D. degree in signal and information processing from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China, in 2008. Since Dec. 2008, he has been with the faculty of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, where he is currently a Professor. He was with Feng Chia University at Taiwan as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Adjunct Assistant Professor from July 2010 to July 2012. His research interests include image processing, multimedia security and AI security. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences including IEEE TIP, IEEE TIFS, IEEE TMM, IEEE TCSVT and ACM Multimedia. He is selected as the Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier in 2020. He won the Best Paper Award of CIHW 2016 and the Candidate of Excellent Paper Award of IEEE IIHMSP 2014. He has served as the Associate Editor for Signal Processing (Elsevier) and Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation (Elsevier). He is the Senior Member of CCF and CSIG. |
Prof. Huiyu Zhou, University of Leicester, UKDr. Huiyu Zhou received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Radio Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology of China, and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Dundee of United Kingdom, respectively. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Vision from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Zhou currently is a full Professor at School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He has published over 450 peer-reviewed papers in the field. He was the recipient of "CVIU 2012 Most Cited Paper Award", “MIUA 2020 Best Paper Award”, “ICPRAM 2016 Best Paper Award” and was nominated for “ICPRAM 2017 Best Student Paper Award” and "MBEC 2006 Nightingale Prize". His research work has been or is being supported by UK EPSRC, ESRC, AHRC, MRC, EU, Royal Society, Leverhulme Trust, Invest NI, Puffin Trust, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Invest NI and industry. |
Prof. Wenbing Zhao, IEEE senior member, Cleveland State UniversityWenbing Zhao received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2002. Dr. Zhao has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 1990, and a Master of Science degree in Physics in 1993, both at Peking University, Beijing, China. Dr. Zhao also received a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1998 at University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Zhao joined Cleveland State University (CSU) faculty in 2004 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CSU. Dr. Zhao published over 250 peer-reviewed papers in the area of distributed systems (three of them won the best paper award), smart and connected health, computer vision, machine learning, physics, and education. Dr. Zhao’s research is supported in part by the US National Science Foundation, the US Department of Energy, the US Department of Education, the US Department of Transportation, Ohio State Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Ohio Department of Higher Education, and by Cleveland State University. Dr. Zhao is currently serving on the organizing committee and the technical program committee for numerous international conferences. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Access and for MDPI Computers. Dr. Zhao is a senior member of IEEE. |
